Pan and The Dream’s beauty issue found inspiration in Jean Cocteau’s surrealist film, La Belle et la Bête. Taking inspiration from fantasy, PAN invites contemporary artists, writers, and photographers to explore current social issues linked to our perceptions of beauty.
PAN’s editions are collected by the following institutions and part of their libraries’ permanent collections: George Eastman Museum, New York, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C., The Courtauld Institute of Art, London, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, The Museum of Modern Art, New York.
